Antenatal and Post-Natal Exercise Class







What are antenatal classes?
Antenatal classes may come in various forms, but all have the same aim -- to help prepare you for labour, birth, and early parenthood. These days, it is common for hospitals to offer these classes as part of antenatal care. In case, you are visiting a private gynaecologist (which is the case most of the time), ask her if she can recommend antenatal classes in your area or in a nearby hospital. Before you attend these classes, just remember to check that the instructor has been properly trained.



Why go to antenatal classes?
Antenatal classes are quite interactive and not only help you focus on your pregnancy and forthcoming labour and birth, but they also have a great social function -- they're a great place to meet other parents-to-be. The content of the classes will vary, but should include some of the following: • information about the process of labour and childbirth

Postnatal Exercise Classes

What will we do?
You will be part of a small personalised class that allows for individual supervision.
Classes are suitable for every mum, regardless of delivery or personal fitness level. Mums will exercise according their individual fitness level. Exercises focus on helping you regain your core strength and flatten your belly.
Personal assessment and setting of individual goals in your first class. Regular reassessment in the following classes.
You can bring your baby along. The baby can play or sleep while you look after your body. Classes run for 75 minutes to give you enough time to exercise even if you have to feed or change your baby
